If you think cashmere is only for cold weather, Alashan Breeze might change your mind.
This beautiful fabric from Piacenza 1733 combines cashmere, silk and linen, making it soft, lightweight and wonderfully easy to wear.
Where the fibre comes from
The cashmere comes from the Alashan region of Inner Mongolia, where cashmere goats have adapted to some seriously cold winters. To keep warm, they grow an incredibly fine undercoat. It’s this precious undercoat that gives Alashan cashmere its remarkable softness while keeping it incredibly light.
Every spring, the goats are gently combed by hand, collecting the soft undercoat without harming them.
What Piacenza does with it
Piacenza then blends this beautiful cashmere with silk and linen, creating a fabric that is soft, light and breathable.
At just 180g, Alashan Breeze is amazing for lightweight suits and jackets and can be worn comfortably all year round.
